Young Taras Is Begging for His Life!

A mother, father and four children, among them, six-year-old Taras, share a tiny house in a small village in Chernivtci, Ukraine.

Snezhana Larionova describes her life with her family until March 2019 as a sweet dream. "I cherish those memories as if it was ages ago," she says, remembering the good days. "We had a perfect life as a perfect family. Although only my husband was working, we had almost everything we needed, especially joy and tranquility in our family."

But Snezhana's voice is shattered when she remembers that day in March of 2019, the day horror itself arrived at their doorstep. "I felt as if our life had been invaded by a evil enemy," she says, on the verge of tears, "no one could have imagined this could ever happen to our baby.”

28-year-old Snezhana's body still trembles as she describes the rapid deterioration in her baby's health, her sweet child, Taras. "The disease immediately and loudly announced itself," she says, as a tear starts rolling down her cheek "The boy's fever started rising every day. His nose bled and strange bruises appeared on his body. According to the doctors' instructions, we were treated at home, but, unfortunately, it quickly became clear that the prescribed treatment had failed."

Little Taras was rushed immediately to the regional hospital where they tried to stop the bleeding gushing from his nose. It was all in vain, as the boy's condition only worsened.

It was a horrible nosebleed that lasted for several hours, non-stop, which sent little Taras to the Hematology Department, where a terrible diagnosis was made.

"They have finally recognized and defined our enemy," whispers Snezhana. "It is acquired aplastic anemia.  And it hit my Taras with its most severe attack. This enemy destroys bone marrow, forcing my child's body to become its own enemy!"

Bursting in tears, the young mother is struggles for her next breath. "In a flash of a moment, my entire life turned upside down for me," she cries. "My calm and tranquil world was shattered.

Only then I realized I could lose my child! Lose my Taras."

Little Taras continues his struggle for life under constant danger. An innocent push while playing with other children can lead to internal bleeding that is nearly impossible to stop. Any movement for him can be fatal.

For two years now, the hospital has become a second home for little Taras, a fact that his mother has never got used to. But every member of what used to be a happy Larionov family is already used to hearing the name of the horrible enemy, aplastic anemia. It is a rare disease, whose exact cause, in most cases, cannot be determined.

The patient's brain stops functioning. It prevents the patient's bone marrow from producing enough red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets so there is no reproduction of any main types of blood cells.

Recently, the boy's liver can no longer cope with its functions. Test showed he has Hepatitis B.

Time goes by, not much of it left. Acquired aplastic anemia is worse than leukemia since it is more aggressive.

Mrs. Snezhana is on the verge of collapse, praying for a bone marrow transplantation which can save the life and of her Taras, unable to stop the ocean of tears.

"Good people, I beg you, as a desperate mother," she can hardly voice her plea. "Please, please help me raise money for the transplant treatment. Please save my Taras!"

Please Help Us Save Our Son!

Bone marrow transplant is a medical procedure that not only immediately changes life, but in many cases is critical for practically saving it!

Such is the case of Taras, a 6-year-old child and his entire family that's suffering with him.

When Taras was only 4-years-old, his mother Snezhana, his father, two sisters and one brother where shocked as if they've all been attacked.

An “enemy” revealed its horrible monstrous nature to the Larionov family under the name of “acquired aplastic anemia.”

A disease even worse than the notorious leukemia, an illness which turned little Taras' body into its own enemy.

The first treatments against constantly rising fevers and continued bleeding have failed and the child’s health has reached a critical point. Taras' brain has lost its ability to produce blood cells. His have parents realized they could lose their son.

Until recently, acquired aplastic anemia was considered incurable. Nowadays there is a successfully proved treatment available, one of the most effective methods of treating severe, including oncological, diseases. It’s called “bone marrow transplant.” All the doctors currently treating our dying Taras unanimously agree that the only way to return Taras Larionov to life is an early bone marrow transplant!

Bone marrow transplant is a complex medical procedure, requiring special, extremely professional, medical experience, including the use of sophisticated, innovative equipment and a careful selection of a good donor.

It also requires money, lots of money. A lot of money which is too much for a family whose existence depends on the less than modest income of one parent.

“ Every day is critical for our son's survival," whispers Snezhana, Taras' mother. "We are desperate.

There must be good people who can help us out of this nightmare. I beg each and every one of you. You, people who can embrace someone else's misfortune, please donate. Without your help, our Taras is simply doomed!"

Please, please help return little Taras to life! Please donate and save a life!
